Beaumont's 'Blush Response' is another startlingly accomplished edition from Kinnego Records, who, you might remember, dropped the debut single from Space Dimension Controller. Again, it occupies deeply romantic neon synth space, the sort of evocative electrosoul hues and slinky slow body grooves which catch a certain zeitgeist that's lingering in the air like an irresistible pheromone. Beaumont keeps the vibe right on the money with titles like 'Tokyo', 'Foreign Intrigue' and 'Adventurescence', while each track is waxed with Hypnagogic glisten, at once by-passing the ultra hi-end finish of the stuff he's aping, and lending a more hazy, sleazy touch which will surely be appreciated in more blissed states. It's generally not as dancefloor ready as the SDC stuff, but more primed for low-lit bars and the like described by XXJFG's love note to this record.
